দেবশ্রী began in a small flat in Kolkata, around a brass diya our grandmother lit every evening. The lamp was older than any of us. Its weight, its scent, the small ritual of trimming the wick — it anchored the household.

Years later, looking for the same diya for our own home, we found only mass-produced replicas. So we travelled to the temple towns where the originals are still made — Murshidabad for brass, Pampore for saffron, Haridwar for sacred water — and met the artisans behind each piece.

Debshree is the studio that grew from those visits. Every product we sell is made by hand, in small batches, by people we know by name.
